okay, warning: this entry will be entirely about naruto in some way, shape or form. ^^;;;

I am, almost literally, on a naruto rampage. even more than I was before.

...yes, that is possible.

over the span of friday night to sunday morning, with only brief breaks for classes, meals, and sleep, I read the entire naruto manga from half way through volume 6 (what I'd read up to) through chapter 292 of volume 33. I am going crazy.

characters I love (in no particular order):

naruto, sasuke, kakashi, iruka, jiraiya, shizune, tsunade(-baa-chan XDD), tsunade's pig, lee, gai, neji, gaara, temari, kankurou, shikamaru, chouji, shino, kiba, akamaru, asuma, hinata, yondaime hokage, sarutobi-sama (sandaime hokage), kimimaru (who is one of the three villains I actually like), zabuza (don't kill me, rose, you haven't seen the end of that sequence!), haku, tenten, chiyo-baa (mah, this old lady kicks ass!), and probably others who I've temporarily forgotten. ^^;

characters I don't like and feel like wasting the time to mention: OROCHIMARU (::attacks his spine:: uhm...don't ask. --;), itachi, kisame (I mean, come on. sharks? ...well, never mind. sharks are cool. but kisame isn't!), akatsuki in general.

so anyhoo. ^^;;;

yeah, uhm...

the sasuke/naruto fight? ...I was bawling. doing my best not to wail, 'cause I was in my dormroom. ^^;; god, that was sad. the scene in the avatar up above was actually manipulated from the end of the fight (in the anime, of course).

and man, 14-year-old naruto is hot! and I don't feel like such a pedophile obsessing over him. ^^;;; gaara got fucking sexy, too. although...neji isn't quite as hot, because you can't see his legs!

have you ever noticed how sexy the legs are in this anime/manga?! it's like...OO ::drool:: during neji's fights, I kept on getting distracted by his legs, because they are so hot.

and, uhm...on a side note? gaara's scary when shukaku is taking over. oo;

mah. I'm pissed, too. I've read all but the latest chapter (because both of the mirror links to chapter 293 on narutofan are invalid .zip files, which I almost died when I found out) and so far, sasuke has yet to make an appearance. (although I can't stand sai) yet, he's showing up in filler episodes of the anime. it's like...wtf?! I don't want his first appearance after the time lapse to be untouched by kishimoto-sama!

hm...after I make rosie's deathnote layout and julie's next layouts, I need to make myself a sasunaru one...and a kakairu one for nen-nen. XDD ::sigh:: and then probably a sasunaru one for rosie. --;

yeah, I'm currently functioning on like...three our four hours of sleep. x.x I went to bed last night at quarter of eleven. didn't fall asleep until after midnight, and then I kept on waking up.

I couldn't get the sasuke/naruto fight out of my head! it was...OMG. >.< MEH. it won't leave me alone. I nearly had a mental breakdown after reading that. x.x

this one is a very sad sasunaru one that, by the end of the fourth time I watched it I was bawling almost hysterically. (...I am really far too attached to this pairing. --;) (warning: it contains spoilers)

and this one is very funny (watch it after, if you're an emotional loser like me XDD), explaining the characteristics of so-called "real ninjas".

okay, and now another rant.

I wandered onto one site while googling sasunaru, consisting entirely of naruto het fans. and they were talking about how none of the yaoi pairings in naruto felt natural to them, how they all seemed forced. so I'm like...wtf are you talking about?! I will admit that kakairu could seem that way, because they barely interact at all during the series. however, the pairing itself is completely plausible because iruka is particularly prone to teasing (which is kinda strange, considering he was as much of a prankster as naruto as a child), and kakashi takes great pleasure out of flustering people. but sasunaru? how, exactly, is this pairing forced? it's possibly the most realistic yaoi pairing ever in a non-yaoi manga! (even more so than heero/duo, which is saying a lot) and for those fans of gaanaru and nejinaru, the pairings are also plausible, because naruto made gaara realize that he has more purpose than just to kill others, and he showed neji that you can fight your destiny.

but sasunaru...

maybe they say it's forced because of the fact that they're always fighting, and that sasuke tried to kill naruto. however, they're always fighting because they admire each other, and are trying (and I believe this has actually been said, at least on naruto's part) to gain acceptance and respect from each other. anyone notice that sasuke didn't try to kill sakura (which he would totally have succeeded at, and I would have loved him even more if he did)? and before I hear any comments of "uhm...that means he likes her!" let me say something else. the reason sasuke felt he needed to kill naruto was because he was his best friend. which, btw, he actually said. itachi, being the ::long series of censored words:: that he is (sorry, josh ^^;;), told him that, to be able to use mangekyou sharingan and be powerful enough to kill him, he needed to kill his best friend. ::smack:: it's all your fault, bastard! anyhoo.

...and I really am a loser, because I swear to god the singer in this song says "naruto" even though I know he probably isn't. --;
