this layout features Yagami Raito (Light) and L (a.k.a. Ryuugi and Ryuuzaki, neither of which are his real name as far as we're aware of), from Takeshi Obata (creator of Hikaru no Go) and Tsugumi Ohba's Deathnote. gradient made by me, textures default. fonts used are Porcelain, Quake, Evanescence (yes, the font used by the band; it's in the lyrics), Anything You Want, and Redensek. lyrics from the song "imagine", written by John Lennon and covered (at least the version I was listening to while making the layout) by A Perfect Circle.

Imagine there's no countries,
It isnt hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
No religion too,
Imagine all the people
living life in peace...
Imagine no possesions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
A brotherhood of man,
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...
You may say I'm a dreamer,
but I'm not the only one,
I hope some day you'll join us,
And the world will live as one."

friday and saturday were the best days I've had in a long time. ^----------^
it started off with everyone throwing me a party at work on friday. just after getting back from our lunch break, btw. I had gone over to mommalus's desk 'cause I needed something off it for what I was doing, and then candace came in, and manhandled me into the lobby, shouting "we're CELEBRATING you!" and I'm just like..."WHAT?! oO;" she'd ordered me a cake (lemon, too, which is my favorite. ^^), and all of the major staff members were there. it was pretty cool. ^^
although...alex was down in florida at a show. ...with holly. --;; I didn't even get to see him on my last day of work!
but anyhoo.
we picked up julie on our way home, and I did a tiny bit of packing while she was there. then nen-nen (who, btw, really needs to updated her diary! I want a new entry by the time I get online tomorrow night! ^---^) showed up, and we hung out around the computers for a little bit and then decided we wanted to do something else. so we actually went out for ice cream at friendly's, and when we got home we actually played "le menú café" an old game of ours where we just play our favorite characters (at the moment those from our funky french name RPG. ^^;;;) until like...3 in the morning. when we decided to go to bed. except we kept talking until like...5:30 in the morning. ^^ it was a lot of fun.
unfortunately, we had to drop julie off at home the next day on our way to the mall.
but we went to hottopic, where I got a sasuke t-shirt, a naruto t-shirt, a naruto group pin (...the picture is bigger than the actual pin is, though. oO;), and a konoha leaf symbol wrist-band (with the metal plate like they have on their hitai-ate in the manga ^^;;;), although I couldn't find it on the website. oO; then we went to waldens, and I got furuba 10-12 and wish 2.
after that we had to leave, because we went to go see brokeback mountain. oh, it was so good! and very sad. ;___; but jake gyllenhaal makes a very pretty gay cowboy. ^^
then we went up to the barnes & noble there to see julie and so rosie could use the gift certificates she'd gotten for christmas. I got another four manga (wish 3 and 4 and naruto 2 and 3), as well as a book about behind-the-scenes stuff from narnia for nen-nen's upcoming birthday (january 29; drop her a line!).
then we got home and spent about an hour playing "le menú café" again. nen-nen went home at 8. ;_________; we both cried.
annnnnnnnnnnd, then I had to pack. --;
so that was all that was exciting. I'm leaving later today; ja ne!
