ANYHOO.
well, we spent last weekend in NJ. it rained the WHOLE TIME WE WERE DOWN THERE. we got 9.5 inches of rain on saturday alone. can you believe that? OO we went out on saturday to a glass thing in port jervis. on our way back, we wouldn't even dare getting out of the car to shop in one of our favorite stores! THAT is how bad it was. my sweatshirt was totally soaked. I got home and IMMEDIATELY threw it in the dryer.
ugh. I can't listen to one song for a long time. I listen to it like...twice, and half way through a third time I change it. I skip over about five or six songs on the "everything" playlist (on SHUFFLE) before finally settling on one. on the way home from NJ I went through like...seven CD's. the car ride is 3.5 hours long.
I have come to the conclusion the hellsing music is good for me while in major ADD-mode. it's so all over the place anyway that it kinda soothes me. ^^;
...did I just say that? Oo;
I want potato chips. >.< and I want dinner to have peanut butter in it. but apparently we're having some kind of hamburger helper...
alex showed up today. ^.^ ...it was really weird, 'cause he was wearing ENTIRELY dark colors (that I could see, anyway. ::gets distracted by thoughts of alex in only his possibly white boxers:: ::gets smacked by Lucifer-sama:: OW!). he had DARK jeans on, and a BLACK sweatshirt on over a DARK RED t-shirt. my eyes nearly fell out of my head.
...have I discussed the fact that he normally wears a white t-shirt and baggy khaki cargo jeans?
anyhoo.
I guess it was because it was so cold today, or something...
mommalus and I ate lunch today in the library, and then went out to the crown bakery for "dessert". they have AWESOME pastries there. ^.^ we ate them in the car 'cause all the indoor tables were taken and we were NOT eating outside. >.<
ugh.
why is it so fucking cold?! it was 47 degrees today at lunch! NOON! and not only that, but it's rainy (thus damp) and windy! x.x it's gonna kill me.
...I have to find that nice new fall jacket we bought the last time we were in NJ. mommalus and I have no idea where it is...
and would you believe that in my ancient history class we may actually begin to learn about ANCIENT HISTORY soon?! ::false gasp of shock:: mr. holmes is such a loser. =___=; I read a small essay in my English book on saturday about the different types of teachers (it was a classification essay), and they talked about lecturers (which is what mr. holmes does). they mentioned the rare GOOD lecturer, and then the more common one that has either scrambling to take notes or dozing off in class. and I started laughing and shouted "mr. holmes!" ^.^ fortunately, I was reading this in NJ, not in class. that would have been...awkward.
I've been driving david crazy at work. the wall of his office is right next to the desk I work at. well, let's just say that david is the kind of person who likes QUIET. ...I am far from that. when I asked him about it, he just looked at me and said yes, I WAS driving me crazy.
it was really funny on friday. he totally made my day. we were celebrating birdie's birhday (she's the clay tech), and this woman made this incredible chocolate cake (chocolate frosting, coated with sliced almonds and raspberries around the top and in between the two layers. let me tell you, chocolate cake (especially with chocolate frosting) usually makes me nauseous, but this stuff was AWESOME. had me practically drooling). anyhoo. back to david. I was talking about the sugar and caffeine and its effect on me and the fact that I am NOT a calm person in the first place, and I'm like, "just ask david! I've been driving him CRAZY!" ...the look on his face was just absolutely PERFECT. and then I asked him what he'd do if I called him "davie". let me tell you, he is quite strictly a david kind of person. no nicknames for him. he just looked at me and said "why don't you try it and see?" the entire room ERUPTED in laughter. ^.^
...this from the guy who drives a wanna-be-macho pickup truck. ::grin::
